Reporting to the Global Head of Solution Consulting, you will be responsible for partnering across the client-facing sales team to engage clients early in the sales cycle, develop new business opportunities in strategic growth focus areas, and work with existing or prospective clients to help define technical solutions to meet desired business outcomes. In other words, you and your team’s focus will be ‘why buy, why Exegy, why now?.’ The Solution Consultant works with each sales team member to qualify customer requirements, craft best-fit Exegy solutions, and position Exegy technology to deliver client solutions. You will be a trusted advisor to the sales team and work with them to demonstrate Exegy’s commercial and technical expertise in the market data industry. You will provide regular feedback to Exegy business units on market trends, competitive insights, and opportunities to improve offerings. You will engage in a wide variety of client opportunities across exchanges, sell-side, buy-side, and financial technology firms.


  • Partner with client facing sales team to lead technical sales conversations with client executives to identify and qualify new sales opportunities to help meet annual revenue objectives
  • Guide client facing sales team on best-fit solution options based on detailed understanding of client requirements
  • Develop and deliver product positioning to display the value of our solutions
  • Work with internal product, revenue, and support teams to scope product enhancements required for sales opportunities
  • Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements
  • Ensure hand-offs to and engagements with supporting resources at the appropriate phase of the sale
  • Produce high quality written documentation, infographics, and technical networking diagrams required to support sales opportunities
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and thought leadership as required and applicable to support business and revenue objectives
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing and emerging technologies and the latest product-line developments

Your experience should include some or all the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, technology, or market data environment in a sales, support, or management capacity (client facing roles strongly preferred)
  • Strong presentation skills both in person and via virtual platforms/formats
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Great leadership skills; passion for driving sales through a consultative method
  • Customer-focused; ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Organized and analytical; demonstrates value through thoughtful and customized deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Finance and/or Technology
